This movie at best rates a MEH in my opinion.
The actors were very fake. I am not sure how to describe it but it looked like they went to a modeling agency and picked out the best looking without regard to their acting ability. Lois Lane needs a curve or two.
The plot? Keeping in mind I have never faithfully followed the Superman comic Is that the best they could come up with was to make a crystal island? They probably could have fooled me if added a few epic fight scenes. They spent an hour or more of the movie talking about his return. Which I suppose makes for a good story but they did little to detail his journey and instead focused on his relationship with Lois Lane.
In my opinion, all epic stories need to balance the internal struggles facing the super hero with an equal amount of epic bad ass good versus evil. I guess I expected an epic super hero flick but got a chick flick made to look like a super hero flick.
