I’m using the Terrestrial Digital DB4 Multi-Directional HDTV Antenna. I’m in northern Baltimore, and get the Baltimore stations, DC stations, and Annapolis stations (40~50 mile spread) with it mounted fairly low (2nd floor) and inside the attic. I did catch an interesting article from hackaday about homebrew antennas on the cheap, and they seem to be having pretty good success. I plan on making one this weekend :P.
