I have been drooling over various 8800GT reviews all morning. It’s really hard not to jump the gun and just buy one right now haha (buy.com has an MSI one for $240 and I’ve got a 5% off coupon on top of that, sold out quickly of course). But I’m trying to hold out until black friday/cyber monday in the hopes of some better deals and wider selection. Especially since one of the games I wanna play (Unreal Tournament 3) will be coming out right around then anyhow and I can’t justify the need until then. Luckily I’m not getting Crysis, since even this card can’t handle it without turning down settings.
Nice to see the Button back though. Question, how would you like us to submit suggestions for it? I come across hardware reviews and such quite often that don’t need an entire news post for themselves, or aren’t particularly HT related but may be of interest. Is the news@missingremote.com addy still worthwhile?
