I appreciate the mention, but I don’t intend for [url=http://softsled.net]http://softsled.net[/url] to be just another forum. That could be accomplished here or at the greenbutton, and there are many forum topics on the subject. I keep waiting and reading those forums to no avail. The conversation just keeps going round and round.
I was hoping this feature would be included in Vista and it might in an update, but in my opinion Microsoft will never release a stand alone software application that acts as an extender. It just doesn’t make sense for them. If I was Microsoft I wouldn’t do anything to hurt sales of the XBox or to tick off their partners who are going to be producing extenders.
My intention is to create a project similar to the one at onmac.net where developers have some kind of incentive to get this thing off the ground. I would also like to see an application that can run on linux as well.
I just popped in to clarify the intentions of the project.
