While I in no way begrudge Noel Lee’s success in achieving his [i]American Dream[/i], his company’s relentless tenacity in trying to quash other entrepreneurs of their dream simply because they somehow use the word “monster” in some fashion is what disturbs me.
Nonetheless the debate over the value of esoteric audio cable (and now video cable) has been going on for as long as I can recall. Throughout the years, however, it seems that the acoustic benefits claimed by these uber products generally finds more critics of their claims than supporters.
Even though my hearing is nowhere near being pristine or anything like that I still can’t help but believe that unless you have exceptional hearing (like my dog maybe…just kidding) that ultra-high priced uber cables are nothing more than a placebo for the hungry ear.
