So I was having time with scheduled recordings stopping early. I went as far as setting them to start 5 minutes early and end ten minutes after. But I’d still get shows cut off when they were back to back. Why the system didn’t start the next show on a different tuner I do not know. But then I noticed my clock was always about 5 minutes fast. And going to the time settings and forcing a refresh did not happen. Then I found this link http://www.pretentiousname.com/timesync/index.html . Finally my time is correct. I have it scheduled to update daily at 7PM so it is refreshed before prime time TV starts.

Once I found out the keyword I should be searching on was “drift” I found fixes and complaints everywhere.
