Anyone take the next step from level calibration to something like RoomEq? I took a stab at it a while back, and from what I could tell it is only focused around the subwoofer / low freq calibration.
When I use the auto cal on my receiver, it does level, distances, and some eq settings for room acoustics. Most of what is in RoomEq is over my head, so there is a good chance I missed the boat completly on it. Also, there is a good chance, that my equipment isn’t nearly high end enough to make use of this high end software.
When I switched to an Asus Xonar card and 5.1 analog inputs into my receiver, I found that the autocalibration doesn’t apply to that mode. Hence my need to play with RoomEq.
