I have got to disagree, the tivo UI looked great when it came out 11 years ago, but this revamp looks like something that should have come out 5 years ago and they obviously didnt beef up the hardware enough because it was still pokey in that video (waiting for things like the HD logos to show up next to shows).
I was somewhat looking forward to this annoucement because it was tivo’s last chance to hit a homerun and stop me from moving to 7mc full-time once the ceton card is released, but instead they tried to bunt for a base hit: an underwhelming revamp of their UI and no features to make me want to upgrade from my HD.
maybe it made business sense for them, but I can’t help but think this is just another step on the road to irrelevance for tivo.
