This is not a true plugin it’s nothing but an xml file with about 10 lines of very basic code, all it does is launch the Joost App from within MCE. I do solute the effort because no one else has stepped up to the plate. To be truly integrated at a minimum additional scripted would need to be added to make the Joost App function properly with a remote control, the same way that plugins like “Vongo” does.
Anyone that has other experience with programs such as Vongo can tell that it is almost seamlessly integrated.
My Opinion for Vista Media Center to be A++ a Netflix Plugin with Watch Now features, and the Joost Plugin are musts. The more integrated these great services can get with PVR software the larger the client base will be. If you add backwards compatibility with XP MCE now you are ahead of the game. Lastly these companies if they are truly interested in expanding their market then they need to begin making plugins for all the Major PVR softwares (SageTv, Snapstream, Media Portal..etc) We are leaving to much of this to the hobby coders it’s not like Nextflix and Joost are open source programs they are closed sourced therefore I believe these companies should bear the burden in developing plugins if they wish to continue to expand their market.
That is my 2 cents on the whole subject
