      I’m using them with my SageTV HD extender and it works just fine.  My house is 140 year old, but the wiring is 20 to 30 years old :).  I initially had it plugged into the outlet that’s shared with the wireless router, modem, and laser printer – and it didn’t work.  When I plugged it into the outlet that’s shared with the the receiver, TV, and HTPC, it worked no problem at all.
