Does anyone use a VBox Cat’s Eye 150 with Vista? I tried installing mine in my HTPC last night that is running Vista. I thought I was being slick having the drivers already downloaded and ready on a USB drive. But when I tried installing the drivers it fails and says no driver was found. I can’t find many other cases such as this on the internet, but I did manage to find 3 mentions of a related problem with this card and Vista but not very many specifics. One person mentioned using Windows Update to get the driver instead of using the CD (but never mentioned the CD not working to begin with); I looked at Windows Update and it doesn’t show any download for the VBox tuner. A 2nd person mentioned the same problem as I’m having, not being able to get the driver installed, but had an “edit” to his post saying the solution was to add hardware manually and to go in “Sound, game, media” and there was a choice for VBox; I tried that, too, but there’s no listing for VBox. A 3rd person I found writing a review for the 150 mentioned he had to get a “patch” from Microsoft in order to get it to work, but gave no specifics on how to obtain the supposed “patch”, but gave the product a very good rating. I have Vista Ultimate 32 bit SP2 with necessary updates installed. What else am I supposed to do?
