OK so I managed to confuse myself completely and need some guidance. I run vista (x86) premium and use VMC as my frontend. Recently I have mucked around with a few things, specifically I have turned user account control off and a few days later back on again and I have also enabled the RDP hack mentioned here.
Now I noticed strange behaviour with 2 plugins (mControl and Media Browser):
mControl stopped generating log files (I have an open ticket with support on this). But I noticed today that if I run VMC as administrator, then logs do get generated.
Media Browser do not accept changes I make to virtual folders.
Now I’m not asking assistance with these 2 plugins, but rather to help me undertand where I’m going wrong with user accounts. Somehow I’m not undertanding how user accounts function in Vista.
My setup is as follows:
Machine name is HTPC
1 User account named as “HTPC1” with admin rights
2 MCX (extender) users (xbox360 & Linksys)
I have the RDP hack in place but not for the use of concurrent sessions, thus only 1 user account.
