I had my harmony remote working flawless on MCE2005. But then I upgraded and MS pushed out a new release of the XBOX dashboard and now I have 2 issues that are driving me (not shure where it is driving me…but it is driving me):
I programmed the remote so that media center is one activity (and play game is another and so on). To get all these activities to work I basically have a command to start up the xbox, wait a few seconds and then perform an action. In the case of MCE it is to press the green button. But since the last dashboard update I get this annoying message on the dashboard about closing my current session if I go to media center. So I have to press yes and only then does it start media center. That is problem number 1.
Problem number 2 is jumping from media center to the dashboard. In MCE2005 I programmed a sequence of key presses: Green button (to return from anywhere to the main window) + left + up + OK + OK (to go to the close media center popup window and select OK). But in VMC on the extender the popup window does not exist anymore. Rather it is one of the functions under settings and I cannot figure out a fool proof way of getting to that menu entry.
Any advice?
