I have two evga video cards: 7950GT KO and 8600GTS.

If I install the 8600GTS card and attempt to play a HD DVD movie using PowerDVD 7patched .2911, then the video is displayed in the top left hand portion of the 1080p display–the video appears to be about 256×512, about 1/4 of 1080 height, and about 1/4 of 1920 width.  If I use the exact same setup, including the same driver, and the 7950GT card, then the video fills the 1080p screen.  Both cards recognize my front projector as a 1080p projector and provide a 1080p desktop.  Get same results with 162.18 and beta 163.71 drivers. Same result whether play HD DVD from disc or from hard drive.

Does anyone have any idea at all as to what might be causing this?  I searched all the fora I can find and can’t seem to find anyone who has had such a problem.  I’m waiting for a(nother)response from evga tech support but they must take the weekend off and their first response didn’t indicate a grasp of the problem.

    WINXPMCE2005SP2/AMD 62FX/2G RAM/Asus M2N32SLI MoBo/PowerDVD 7.3.2911/DVItoHDMI cable to HD81LV front projector video processor.
