Who has made the switch from an HTPC to a tivo?

Hey, i’ve been lurking for a while and just now signed up to post.

I thought I would see how other people have fared moving from an HTPC (any software package) to tivo.

I just never could get my htpc to act exactly how I wanted, though the HD-PVR came close, and decided that the 13$/month for the tivo service would be worth not having the headache.

I guess maybe I am just getting old?

I’ll probably still end up hacking my new TivoHD as much as possible.
