Hi Michael. Really grateful that the Yammm finally works again! Great thanks! I’m using Windows Media Center on Windows 7. The artwork is now working, the movie posters are updating and visible. However, no synopsis available for new movie folders. The old movie folders still have metadata, and the synopsis appears. I tried to restart the Windows Media Center, restart the Yammm, but still didn’t work. Pardon me, but I don’t understand the meaning of ‘multiple dvdid.xml files’ you mentioned as I couldn’t find the dvdid.xml files within my new movie folders as you mentioned before. I don’t have the courage to run the delete command to clear all, as the previous metadata on the old movie folders are still exist. Really need your guidance. How am I supposed to do? Was there any setting that I missed? Is it possible to see the right/default setting for the YAMMM config? Where could I find it? in this forum or on the web/blog? Also, since the beginning, I tick the IMDb rating column on the setting, but it never give any rating since I started using the first version of YAMMM (1.20) few years ago. What else needed to have those rating? Really appreciate for the help.

If you have no dvdxml files in your movie folders can you confirm you have “Windows Media Center” checked in YammmConfig on th Metadata tab?
If so, first please install the latest (just updated) and then restart your computer.
October 27, 2013 at 12:32 pm #33259shovels5I think I’m unique in that everything installed, but the service isn’t running (and I can’t get it to start). I also can’t save any changes to the config programme, every time I try it tells me I must be logged in as an administrator, which I am.
exact message: “Failed to save configuration file. Please ensure you are running us as an account with administrator priviledges”
Thanks for all the work so far, this is the best little programme I’ve ever come accross.

Ok, so a re-install solved that issue, and now its working fine. BUT, it now doesn’t seem to be downloading cover art. Actaully, that’s not 100% tru, I’ve got two images in my cache folder (out of about 400 films), and nothing showing in Media Center. Even the older files which already have folder.jpg images in them are no longer getting throug to media center.
Any ideas?

Do you use a proxy? Please do the following…and please let me know if you need more thorough walkthrough.
1- Start an administrative command prompt
2- Run CD %ProgramFiles%Yammm
3- Run sc stop yammmsvc
4- Run yammmsvc.exe /debug
Are there errors?

BTW, Installer does not correctly detect my previous install location

Thanks, fixed. It will two 2 updates to notice though as the installer needs to save the location for the next installer to use.
October 28, 2013 at 2:51 am #33264mikinhoHow is the stability? Good enough to consider not beta?
October 28, 2013 at 3:07 am #33265obiwanI am still getting an error that yammm_setup_w7_13_10_26_0827.exe can’t install on Windows 7. Are you sure the SP1 restriction has been removed?

I had someone else confirm. I can setup a non-SP1 VM tomorrow to confirm myself though. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Can you post or e-mail me the install log when it fails? %TEMP%yammm-….log
October 29, 2013 at 12:05 am #33268kevm14Nice. This stopped working a week or so ago and I had no idea why! I thought it was my system! Glad to see development is on-going. I also didn’t realize Ceton MyMediaCenter included Yammm. I did re-download the latest MyMediaCenter and everything seems to be well, except for one issue:
Movies that I ripped with the old Yammm (after it broke) I cannot get the XML stuff to work. The folder.jpg downloaded, which it wasn’t doing before. But I have no XML movie info. The actual files seem to be there in the program data/yammm area, but WMC doesn’t display it. It’s ONLY for the movies I ripped since the old Yammm broke. I deleted ALL XML files and it rebuilt every single one except those movies. Again, the dvdinfo files and stuff in the cache folders are actually there but WMC shows no movie info, just for those movies (the rest are fine). There must be something residual floating around somewhere. Help?
Thanks!

Sigh. Looks like I only updated the unattended install to remove the SP1 requirement.
So either use the unattended command line option, /Q:A, or I’ll make a new installer in ~1 hour
October 29, 2013 at 3:20 am #33271mikinhoAttached is a W7 installer that hopefully gets rid of the SP1 requirement properly this time.
October 29, 2013 at 1:57 pm #33272obiwanThis worked perfectly. Thanks for all your help.
