I’ve since learned that adding XL for boxes like PCH and SageTV HD Theater is unlikely (or at least would take a very long time) because it would require flash. But then the SageTV box doesnt (not positive on this) use the API anyway so it might not be a problem.
Either way a 3rd party dev could probably work out a YouTube plugin for either box fairly easily…
