I believe that what happened is your Sub Expire Time expired. If you go to the Ceton Diagnostic page (192.168.200.1 by default) in your browser, click on CableCARD, click on the CA link and then click on the link on the page that comes up, you will see “SubExpireTime” and a time/date.

What happens is the cable provider sends a message to the CableCARD on some periodic basis (or is supposed to). If the CableCARD doesn’t receive the message and the time passes the “SubExpireTime,” you will receive Subscription Required overlay in WMC.

If you ever plan to use your NIC for any type of video applications, Intel mobos are recommended. Unfortunately, most other manufacturers are using Realtek NICs which are often a source of frustration when trying to do things on the network.

Something else to try is flashing the latest board BIOS .BIO file in recovery mode. Intel vBIOS may not update properly in some cases outside recovery mode.

Disable WMC navigation sounds if you don’t already.

I have a DH67BL with Denon AVR-2112 to Samsung display working fine.

Wow, if all those are not transmitted in digital, they really are behind the times. You can get an NTSC tuner and throw it in your system. There should not be a conflict between digital and NTSC programming. If there were, you could always select which tuner may/may not access the channel as well as prioritize tuners on a per channel basis.

Have you checked to see if your cable provider offers a digital simulcast of the channels you are interested in? Cable providers are moving away from NTSC so it would be surprising if they were not simulcasting.

You should certainly be able to log in as Administrator. You should also be able to use the computer name or IP address like Mike pointed out.

Yes. You must have missed some of our news postings. Microsoft has confirmed that Media Center will be a part of Windows 8. There have not been any descriptions of how it will be integrated.

Windows 7 Media Center has some known issues with them enabled. They can create the Copying Prohibited overlay message.

                        Aaron Ledger

The Silverlight 5 RC doesn’t work with all GPUs yet. If you tried with your new one, then apparently it is not working with it. You can try reverting to Silverlight 3 instead of 4.

Your CPU should be fine. That should only be an issue with underpowered systems like an Atom.

I am extremely sensitive to judder and unfortunately, Netflix on the PC can often be a bad experience if the right combination of SW/HW is not in place. On my Sandy Bridge systems using Intel HD Graphics, Silverlight 5 does bring the PC mostly to parity with Netflix through my Samsung display while Silverlight 4 is a juddery mess.

Is there any other pattern besides always on CBS? Is it the same programming material that causes it or is it random?

Have you tried the Silverlight 5 RC? That is the only fix I have found to make Netflix somewhat tolerable on the PC.

I try to get out for at least a 20 – 30 min. walk once a day and then just make sure to get up and get a drink, use the restroom or chit chat with colleagues throughout the day maybe once an hour or so. I would always like a deluxe chair or optional standing desk, but I do think that just some simple exercise minimizes the necessity of those items, at least for me.

The TMT promos typically occur around various holidays. They are often posted in our Hot Deals forums or if you visit the ArcSoft web site, you will also find them.
