One way to get Clicker in WMC is via the Kylo browser.

Yes, if it is just the OS, 60GB is plenty. But, if you ever want to install games (and who wouldn’t want blazing fast load times from games), those 10GB+ games chew up the space quickly.

I’m always tempted by these deals on the smaller capacities, but I always want the 120GB Smile.

            Hi Venkat.

It sounds like you are using unprotected files. Can you share what type of media you are using? I’m not aware of any simple way to apply HDCP to non-protected content so it will be useful to understand if that is what you are dealing with.

As Michael pointed out, even with HDCP, it is possible to get an analog copy of that signal using a device such as the HDFury so it may be important to physically secure the channel as well depending on your circumstances.

              Mike,

Can you run a test to determine if the router is the cause of your issue? Just plug your PC and WHS into a dumb switch or direct connect (with crossover if needed). Turn IPv6 back on and see what happens.

It may not be the fastest mechanical HDD, but it appears better than any other “Green” drive. Speeds are pretty close to the fastest 7200RPM drives with access times more in-line with slower drives.

I suppose I should have said a serial port that complies with RS-232Embarassed.

Sorry, just thought [that while correct] it was funny to call a serial (clunky, legacy) port on a PC -> RS-232 (high-end A/V feature).
Is there some new feature called “RS-232” on A/V equipment these days, or is it just the same clunky, legacy port found on PC’s that’s now new and exciting because you can use it to control your A/V gear?
The latter. It’s been in the higher-priced A/V equipment for a while now and mostly been used by custom installers. Denon is bringing the feature into some of its middle tier receivers this year.

You’d have to have an RS-232 port on your PC though.

LOL – I think you mean serial port 🙂

I think I’ve got an external modem laying around that I know was working with YAC. If you want to pay postage, I’ll ship it to you. You’d have to have an RS-232 port on your PC though.

Thanks to WhatHappened I can finally get into TGB, err, Windows Experts Community. Even though I had already migrated my account, it seems that when I logged out (in an attempt to provide the screen capture in my earlier post), I could never log back in and was always presented with TGB migration screen.

If you are experiencing a similar problem, you must do something that’s not obvious at all. Click “I need help with my password” to initiate a password reset on your account. After I performed this procedure, I was able to log in.

Maybe I need to give Netflix in WMC another try. Quality has always been fairly atrocious compared to my Samsung display’s Netflix app.

You may also find some decent value in chairs at Warehouse clubs like Costco/Sam’s.

I’ve actually received some amazing office chairs over the years from all the downsizing businesses I’ve been a part of. Believe me, I would rather have gotten rich off my stock options than this benefit!

The Chrome browser sync is great for this also, along with syncing everything else about the Chrome experience (extensions, saved passwords, etc.)
