You could try installing HTPE, but I’m not sure if it works with Server OS.

Thanks for reporting that. We’ll add it to the list of things to improve and fix. As always, we love to hear constructive feedback to help improve the site.

I love the DLNA feature built into my Samsung display, but have found little cause to use it since I have an HTPC connected to it. I just use the built-in Windows 7 DLNA functionality when needed. Playto has come in handy on a couple occassions with my notebook.

I noticed in today’s San Diego Fry’s ad that you can also purchase the Family Pack for $99. I’m not sure if that’s good at all Fry’s locations though.

I get the same thing in addition to not being able to access Windows Experts anymore.

No. I actually bought the pack way back when it debuted. It is the same as any other upgrade retail license. So long as you own another Win7, Vista or XP license, you’re entitled to upgrade. You can go in-place or clean install depending on the circumstances. You can even install to a virgin partition (without a pre-existing installation) so long as you follow a few steps.

Thanks, I’ll be sure to give it a try.

Unfortunately, I’m having problems too. When I signed out to take the screen capture above, I can no longer log in 🙁

The basic steps are to Sign In to the Windows Experts Community using the Sign In link at the top of the page. You will then be presented with the following AFTER you have signed in or created a new Windows Live ID where you can enter your TGB username and password:

Unfortunately, it sounds like a number of folks are having issues getting their TGB accounts migrated. Hopefully, they’ll get it all sorted in the next few days.

I guess you could always try signing up for a new Windows Live account and then migrate your TGB account to that. I’ve actually got two Windows Live accounts myself (and wish I could merge them).

It is definitely different. I didn’t have a problem adding my TGB acct. to a Windows Live ID.
It is definitely going to take some getting used to. There are a ton of forums that are now part of the Windows Experts Community. The old TGB essentially seems to be under the Windows Entertainment and Connected Home banner.

The Windows Experts Forum is now live. No more TGB.

Quite strange. TMT5 and PDVD11 run perfectly fine with my configuration using Television. I also didn’t muck with the registry as I had no need to. Perhaps this is some gpu-dependant behavior.

You could try the procedure here to verify that Caller ID is working. I assume WHS has a terminal program.
