Any codec packs (or ffdshow) installed? If you’re comfortable using graphstudio we can try to track it down.
babgvantKeymasterThere’s a setting in TMT/PDVD to enable hardware acceleration. Maybe it got unchecked?
babgvantKeymasterI have one and for $25 it’s not a bad option. I’ve been meaning to do a real review, but just haven’t found the time so here’s a mini one in bullets:
- Range isn’t great (5′ = OK, > 10′ = not so much), especially if the dongle is attached to the rear of the HTPC.
- That said, the dongle is small enough to not look terrible hanging off the front.
- Love the on/off switch
- Pretty easy for the kids to use, so it is attached to the HTPC in the family room.
- Lack of phone style “sticky” shift/control/alt keys makes true one-handed use impossible
- No “F#” keys is a huge minus in some situations (e.g. getting into BIOS, or using Visual Studio)
- Battery life is good
- Typing anything longer than a few sentences sucks (probably could have guessed this point :))
- Keys have decent feel/feedback

I found the manual on the us website – the european one does not have it. It is still not clear which connector goes to whaon the board. If anybody has idents with cable colours it will help.
Thanks, Simon

Page 16 of the manual has directions for the cables (3 x USB, 1 x Power).
babgvantKeymasterThe 320 (and 312) don’t have hard drive or power LEDs that connect to the board so you don’t have to worry about that. IIRC, there are two USB cables (4 pins) and the power (two pins) cables that need to be connected.
The USB (one is for the IR/VFD the other is for the SD card slot) just plug onto internal USB headers; the power can go either way and if the USB devices don’t show up or the PC won’t boot just flip it around (connect them one at a time). It’s not going to do any permanent harm to put them on wrong.
babgvantKeymasterIs there a technote associated with this? LcdWriter simulates keystrokes in a way similar to how any other remote application would and it works fine with UAC disabled.
babgvantKeymasterIf you can’t figure it out, you could write a CMD file that does that for you when you login.
babgvantKeymasterI like what I saw on the site (especially the OLED display option:)). As you get closer to final spec’s some higher res photos would be great.
babgvantKeymasterIf you wrap the files with PlayReady and specify the HDCP flag WMP should handle everything correctly. I haven’t looked into it too much, but I would expect that Expression Encoder 4 Pro ($200) would be able to do that.
babgvantKeymasterIs the player running on Vista or 7? If not, another mechanism will be required to trigger HDCP.
Ideally using OPM would be built into your player application, do you have the source for your player?
babgvantKeymasterOne way to enable HDCP is to use the Output Protection Manager.
babgvantKeymasterYes, but the xml files should end up in the %public% folder by default. If they are in the Recorded TV folder SA might not be setup correctly.
babgvantKeymasterAs long as you put a modern video card with HDMI in the server it will support HDCP.
babgvantKeymasterSageTV will do that easily, but it’s not as cheap as XBMC.
babgvantKeymasterThis might be a good starting point.
