In my tests I can’t tell a difference on a Onkyo 875 and Axiom Audio m60, vp100, qs8 system. My speakers are revealing of problems with the audio, and I can’t tell any quality difference whatsoever. And I did these tests using the same encode of the audio, switching between the core track and the HD track on both DTS and DD.
Are creating a new lossly version from the lossless track or comparing the stock core stream against the lossless one?
How much of a difference will depend on the title and your equipment. I’ve done some comparisons and for most movies the lossless track does sound better.
It shouldn’t be that much of a hassle to get it setup. In your case, you probably need to uninstall the display driver while in safe mode then use the latest (10.10) from game.amd.com.
What OS are you running?

I dropped to the most basic cable package a few months ago and Comcast charged me 19.95 to make that drop. Talk about BS. The only thing I miss is when there is a game on ESPN I need to watch and I don’t get it in HD. But it isn’t worth the $50+ a month to have the HD service to see it. For the people that pay 100 – 160 or more a month on TV, I don’t see how they do it without having a serious attack of buyer’s remorse everytime they get the bill.
I don’t pay that much just for TV, but the total bill to Comcast is in that region. For me it’s about convenience. I can record what I want, store it and watch it whenever and however many times I want before cleaning it up.

I don’t know much about MyMovies (MM) or Zappiti so I will have to look into how much maintenance is required. I was hoping to use MM on SageTV also but I hadn’t started to look into it closely.
You need to manually run Zappiti whenever a title is added or removed. I think MM will automatically add titles (it does on the PC), but (like the PC) you need to delete them manually.

Form factor isn’t an issue. He’s got a whole closet dedicated to HT gear. It’s a pretty awesome theater.http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1152809

Evaluate it yourself, please. I always bend cables before inserting 24 pin plug in MoBo anyway.
I can’t tell from the pictures if it would be a concern (which is why I asked). It’s a common issue with small LP cases; easy enough to fix with an 24 pin extension with very flexible wires. Maybe you could sell one as an optional accessory?

I assembled them and there is no problem. You have to remove ODD tray anyway.
So there’s plenty of space above the connector for the cable to bend w/o torquing the board?
