Watchin’ it in HD on FIOS via my Ceton InfiniTV 4 and lovin’ it. ;D
I was under the impression that TWD was just going to be a six-episode series. I just checked the AMC website and saw a link to discuss Season 1, Episode 1 of the show. I guess that means the door is definitely open for an expanded series if it gets good ratings. Money talks in Hollywood.

I thought I read somewhere that it was only going to run for six episodes. I just checked epguides.com and they only have six episodes listed.

It is a prequel to BSG. Just a little further back than some expected. Personally I love it.

True. I think most people were expecting there to be more Cylon activity and less character development. It started off as sort of a Cylon origin story but then the Cylons fell by the wayside and the storyline dealt more with the characters and the politics of the various cultures rather than the immediate events that led up to the Cylon war with the humans. I did enjoy the story and like the direction it was heading. Obviously there weren’t enough viewers that shared that enthusiasm.[quote=”rantanamo”]

The storyline was interesting but I have to agree that they were taking their sweet time developing the plot. I thought it had a lot of potential but audiences these days are too impatient to let any complex story develop. If you don’t grab their attention right away you’ll lose them. I was disappointed by the news, but wasn’t all that surprised. I’ve already deleted the latest episode I had recorded and canceled the series. I hate investing time in a show that’s already doomed.

Got mine from Zones and had no problems. Their customer service was very responsive to my inquiry about my pre-order not showing up in my order history. I heard back from literally within hours after sending the e-mail. I thought that was impressive considering they were probably getting bombarded with similar requests at the time.

Not at all. The original comment didn’t come across as anything other than a clever quip. It wasn’t taken into full context until I heard it spoken by Sheldon. It wasn’t until then that I realized where you got it. Had I not seen the show I would have assumed that you either made it up on your own or heard it elsewhere.

Watch both Alien and Aliens (in that order) and then get back to us. Both of them are destined to be classics (as if they already aren’t). Unfortunately, both of them will be somewhat tainted by the drek they produced later using the Alien creature so they may not have the same effect had you not already been exposed to them in an unfortunate setting (i.e., bad spin-off).
