GuideTool might be a way to go. I’ll give it a try, thanks.

Well I do agree with everything here. I tried so many things that cost me a lot of $$$. I’m a computer programmer, so i’m not scared about trying new things. But right now, it’s not stable enough for mainstream.

I couldn’t live without my htcp setup, but will never recommend anybody to get one.

I changed my settings to 100Mbps Full duplex, switched my xbox to 1080i. but still have the lag.
Right now, i’m not sure if it’s a network problem, or just a rendering problem from my xbox at 1080i.
Maybe there is a way to test locally but copying the same video file on a usb drive?

    Thanks, I will try that.
My integrated NIC is an Intel. There drivers were installed by Microsoft, from Win7 CD or via Windows Update, not sure.

Maybe I should try to find drivers on intel website.

My htpc uses an onboard network card. It’s connected to my router, which is 100Mbps. (Dlink DIR-628). My xbox is connected to my router too.

Humm.. I changed my xbox config from 1080i to 720p, and now the lag is gone. Not really sure why…

I just bought the 4GB console, and tried it. The extender seems to work great.

    One problem: Lag.
I do have some lagging when watching live tv (or recorded tv) thru the xbox. Not big lags, but small and often. Am I connected via the ethernet port.
