I am actually more interested in the iPad version, especially since it appears hardware acceleration will be pushed onto the iPad (take some pressure off my WHS when transcoding is needed).

        Hey Mike,

Here are a couple that came to mind:

        1. When leaving a comment to a blog/review/guide post there is no option to be automatically notified of any future responses. A lot of times I will leave a comment/question and am interested in feedback but without an email reminder I generally forget to follow back up

        2. When replying to a comment in a blog/review/guide post all the user can see is the comment the user is replying to, you cannot see the actual writeup (which comes in handy if trying to reference any information from the post in the comment)

        3. Along the lines with #2, when you reply to a comment it would also be helpful to still be able to see all other comments that were made

Nothing that needs to be kept under wraps, just something I haven’t tried and found on Doom9 which requires some system modifications.

I did confirm that the method on Doom9 allowed me to use the Arcsoft Video Decoder. I have TMT3 installed on my HTPC, added the Arcsoft Video Decoder to MPC HC (set as preferred just below the MS DTV Video Decoder) and confirmed with Graphstudio that it was being used (for VC-1 since this is a core i5 HTPC)

It does need to be set to SageTV as the main application, well at least when I was testing it had to be.  I didn’t spend much time trying work-arounds though.

You also have to do a few steps manually for the channel EPG to match up.  I followed the directions from http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34196 and was able to get it working.

Thanks, I will test out. I was worried that setting SageTV as the main application would then kill the HdHr in WMC, but only one way to find out!!!

Very nice writeup Andy, although it will probably be rather intimidating for a newbie looking to possibly get started in SageTV.

I have an HdHomerun question for you. I have my HdHomerun set up getting QAM channels from my cable company. It is set up with WMC and works perfect. With SageTV it recognizes the HdHomerun but with the channel scan I get zero channels. In the HdHr setup GUI I have the main application set as WMC, could this cause an issue for SageTV? I have a hauppauge 2250 and I have no problems setting up the 1st tuner as analog with SageTV but once again with the QAM tuner I get no channels ( I set up Tuners as Digital TV Tuner -> Use Tuner on Capture Card to tune Cable TV, etc…)

If you are playing with live conversion just make sure you have a beefy CPU or are not trying to do anything else from the server where AirVideo is stored, as the CPU takes quite a hit. I have a dual core AMD in my WHS and streaming HD Content (BR Rips) is hit or miss. SD content is not a problem, but CPU usage still spikes near 100%.
