I have a full tower case that i can use as a server when WHS vail comes out. Here is a parts update. CPU AMD 965 Black. Gigabyte ga880m-udh2. Power supply corsair hx620wh due to the modular design. This will lessen the amount of cables in the case. Case Antec fusion remote black. 4GB of RAM DDR3. Just placed order for Ifiinitv 4 card today. Once it arrives I will install in my current system to try it out before building HTPC. I hope to use card as my only card with my cable company TWC NYC. If the lag between changing channels is not too bad. Yes I am a channel flipper. At the very least i can get rid of HD DVR box SA 8300HDC and get HD box w/o DVR. A little savings there. Lack of on demand and PPV not an issue for me.

I am going to pick and choose from the micro atx premium and high end systems. amd 965 black. GIgabyte ga880m-udh2 motherboard. so far that’s 220 for parts. I would like the base of the system to be as much as i can afford. with 6.o gig sata I am thinking no SSD hard drive. Upgraded graphics cards, memory, etc can be added later.
