If the discs work when AnyDVD is enabled, then it shouldn’t be anything wrong with the drive.

I go in Best Buy all the time, but I don’t buy all that much.  Usually I buy movies.  I browse the computer stuff, but I can’t see myself buying any of it.  Soon as I reach for it, I’m like, “Nah, I’ll just order it online from Newegg when I get home.”

I don’t have a local Blockbuster.  The nearest one is 25 miles away.  I do have Netflix, and I love it.  There is really no reason to ever go to a video rental store for me ever again.  However, 2 of the video stores that were the closest to me has closed; Movie Starz a few years ago and Movie Gallery a few months ago.  It’s kind of sad to me though in a way, because a part of me enjoyed the spur of the moment stop-ins with the family and browsing around and picking up a few movies and going home to watch.  But I believe that will be coming to an end for everyone before long.  The prices just don’t make sense, especially to people who rent a lot.  I pay about $13 a month for Netflix and can get at least 2 movies a week; if I go to the rental store and rent one movie that’s almost half of what I pay a month for Netflix.  I want the video stores to stay open for sentimental reasons; I just don’t want to play a part in helping do that, LOL.  It’s just impossible for them to remain open with Netflix, Redbox, and all of the streaming options that is available.

I don’t see why anyone would cancel Netflix just based on the 28 day rule.  Like others have said, it’s going to take a new release longer than that to get to me any way because of all of the others who got it first; I’m just not that lucky.  Besides, any movie that I’m looking forward to enough to watch it the day it comes out on DVD, I’m buying it any way.

It surprises me to hear you say the A-Team movie was “campy”.  I haven’t seen it yet, but from the previews it looked like it took its self more serious than the TV show, especially when I read that Mr. T wasn’t happy with the movie because there was killing and sexual scenes (?, I’m pretty sure I read that).  His comments are kind of funny though, considering they used machine guns and explosives.  Apparently as long as it’s just cover fire or no one actually got hit by the bullet or killed by the explosive it was OK.  And you can fight as long as the people are able to walk away.  Kind of reminded me of the G.I. Joe cartoon where there’s all this shooting but no one ever got hit, or the air craft would get hit and the pilots would safely parachute out.
