Yeah, my HD Fury 2 came in the mail yesterday but I haven’t messed with that yet since I don’t have the video card yet to make it worth while.

@Navlia – I’ll take a look at card, I do like the idea of it being passively cooled.

So just to be 100% certain before I drop $100 on a new video card, ANY ATI 5xxx series will support HD Audio?  I like this one:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125339&cm_re=ati_5670_1gb-_-14-125-339-_-Product

but I wanna be 100% that this will do the trick before I pull the trigger on it.

I’ll be ordering a HD Fury 2 this week and a ATI card shortly there after.  Was just mad that it wasn’t what I thought I was getting.

The Onyko TX-SR608 DOESN’T have the inputs for analog HD audio, it doesn’t have on screen setup over component connections (HDMI only).  So I basically spend $400+ a receiver that doesn’t do anything that my Harman Kardon didn’t already do.  Hell, at least the Harman Kardon did have the analog speaker connectors so I could have had uncompressed audio that way.  Sorry for the rant, I was just really disappointed with the new receiver setup.

If you do a search on Facebook for Empire Strikes Back: Revisited they have the whole A New Hope: Revisited in the videos section in HD in 10 minute increments.  My work PC sucks so it was a bit choppy but the picture was pretty sharp.  I won’t go into whether it was truly HD or not but I do recommend watching the Death Star battle at the end if you’re considering downloading it.

Netflix, NFL Sunday Ticket online and MLB.TV online would total out to $650.00 a year.  OTA and Hulu basic are free so I could drop Directv and save about $800 a year.  Interesting, I’ll take it up with the commitee…

Alot of the goofy bits like the Jaba scene and most of the parts with probe droids everywhere and animals getting loose and that droid pounding the other droid to the ground have been removed.  I tell ya, it was like Christmas…

Oh, and Vader’s and Obi-Wan’s light sabers look correct now.

No I hadn’t heard that.  I’d been getting the internet access add-on for a few years because it was “free” with the Superfan upgrade which gave you the games in HD.  I would just let my friend in LA use the internet part so he could watch the Seahawks games.

I’ll have to check into the internet portion this year since HD is now part of the base package.
