Perhaps “pointless” was a bad choice of words. All I’m saying is that when numerous people refer to it as a “curiosity” and in other threads have pretty much disregarded it due to cost/having to wear glasses/etc. that’s pretty sad considering we’d typically be the group that would be first to jump all over something like this. If the tech geeks aren’t buying it, is Joe Schmo Public really going to adopt it anytime soon?
I find it funny that a site full of nerds who are typically on the bleeding edge of technology seem to generally agree that 3D TV is rather pointless. 😉

How much do those run these days? Just wondering cuz the xbox 360 arcade is only $150 now. And it can also play DVDs, unlike some of the other extenders. I also recall people complaining about the sluggish performance of some of the other extenders, but can’t comment directly as I have never used one.

OK, maybe I can agree it did take itself a little more seriously than the show. But that’s still not much at all. And unlike the show, it wasn’t like they went out of their way not to kill anyone… it was just that in some scenes they weren’t fighting people. Like, there’s a scene with Hannibal and dogs. Or the scene from the previews where you see Face shooting out of a falling tank… at a UAV. But there was no actual “don’t kill anybody” rule in this. There was killing but you don’t see it up close (the PG-13 factor). I also don’t recall there being any sex scenes at all.

I saw the A-Team in theaters, it’s extremely campy and over the top. Also, it’s PG-13, which I think hurt it a bit since it was 99% action and a lot of the scenes they sort of cut away for the “violent” part.
Don’t expect much and you won’t be disappointed. The plot is pretty predictable and simplistic, the acting is mediocre, and the action scenes ridiculous. Which means if you were a fan of the original show, you can probably tolerate all of that and enjoy the movie.
