yeah, it aint cheap. but silence rarely is. the funny thing is that the Antec Phantom which came out around what, 4 years ago…and was 500 watts…cost $150. So 5 years later…still fanless, and 100 watts less…and costs around the same. Power supplies are an odd beast huh

Some hints to #479there is almost no chance the card that’s already activated to another device will work without un-re-pairing it to the new device. I’ve paired over 50 cards in the last couple years here in the Bay Area with Comcast and only had it work that way ONCE, and it was basically because the card was mis-paired to begin with (some channels didn’t work).
By all means doesn’t hurt to try, just mentioning my experience 🙂

When i was working on a 8 tuner x 10 extender product last year it maxed out at 4 and while memory was close to fully capping it, it still made it. So you should be fine with 4gb and only 3 extenders.

August 11, 2010 at 8:36 pm in reply to: Re: Review: Ceton InfiniTV 4 Quad CableCARD Tuner – Part I #300as Mikinho mentioned, the memory utilization with HD streams is pretty intense, so depending on your number of Extenders it definitely helps to have 64-bit and more RAM.

couldn’t help but chuckling when i read this user’s comment…”Went to 2 Best Buys and it was by far the worse looking TV on the wall out of the 50 or so on display.”
still surprising to see it at such a low rating, but hey…that’s one person’s opinion 🙂 i’m loving it so far (of course, i did upgrade from…well, you know :-P)

I am just curious if something in the software stops the CETON services from running if it sees the RAM is less than the requirement.
[/quote]see below for actual answers 🙂
