Pretty disappointed that intel would release the integrated gpu knowing it can’t support hdmi on x64, kinda defeats the purpose of a media chipset
Driver conflicts happen, it definitely isn’t across the board either.  I have anywhere from 4-6 Sandy Bridge systems running, all x64.  I had the BSoD issue on 1 system and reverting back one driver revision fixed it.  That was my only non-Intel board, an ASUS that had it.

I just re-read that you are using MyMovies. If you have MyMovies you do not need to install or use Mount Image. It is for the native Video Library and Movie Library only. MyMovies, MediaBrowser, OML, etc. all have ISO mounting built-in.

Did you play an ISO prior to the AVI? Can you provide a couple of example file names that trigger it?

            See http://www.cetoncorp.com/support/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/16/9/no-ocur-pid-after-passing-digital-cable-advisor

Basically if you have a motherboard that was OCUR enabled in the BIOS the DCA will not auto-populate the key so you need to manually enter it.

It is not natively possible but Andrew (babgvant) has written Recording Broker for that purpose.

The caveat to this approach is that only Copy-Freely content can be viewed on remote clients.  Depending on what channels you subscribe to andor cable provider that may not be an issue though.

Hi RevMen.  Unless you plan to use the virtual HTPC as a recording system there is no point to having it.  At least not w/ respect to the InfiniTV.

The InfiniTV drivers install w/o issue on Windows 2008 R2 (and even WHS 2011).  If you want to be able to use the Ceton InfiniTV Diagnostics tool on the 2008 R2 host then you’ll need to enable two services which are disabled by default on 2008 R2.

                1- UPnP Device Host

                2- SSDP Discovery

From there follow Aaron’s guide to manually configure bridging the InfiniTV.  Three basic steps:

1- Enable “Network Bridging Support” on the InfiniTV network interface

2- Change the InfiniTV to Static IP or DHCP Client mode via the InfiniTV Device Webpage

3- Bridge the InfiniTV w/ your physical network card

If you did want to use a virtual HTPC you could bridge the InfiniTV with a private or internal virtual network card instead.  You could also pass the InfiniTV to the virtual.  But I don’t recommend it if you want to use clients w/ Live TV anways.

There have been a few threads on Missing Remote w/ the N5901.  If I remember correctly most liked it but said they stopped using it after a short while.

Only a single of my DH67 or DH61 boards were affected and rolling back to an older Intel HD Graphics driver resolved it for me.

So they give you the card presynched to their systems. I’ve always driven directly to Comcast and swapped my gear at their shop and then hooked it up at home and made a phone call and read of the numbers on the device. Has that step been overcome? I am debating on getting a CETON to put in my WHS 2011 and want the least hassle as possible.

Comcast still requires pairing and doubtful that will change.  It is only Verizon FiOS and few smaller companies that do not pair.  They pre-activate the CableCARDs for their networks and leave it at that.

I use this as well.  I have all of the Neographic Geographic photo collection as a screensaver.  It is sad, I think my wife and I spend more time looking at the different photos than any other media.

I have not experienced this issue myself.  It isn’t a fix but one thing you do is create a scheduled task set to launch when the user logs in that writes the registry value for the setting.

Monoprice is your friend.  In both quality and price: http://www.monoprice.com/products/subdepartment.asp?c_id=109&cp_id=10828#1082806

In particular I would look at http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=108&cp_id=10828&cs_id=1082806&p_id=3725&seq=1&format=2.  It is one of the pricier ones they offer but for a swiveling mount I think it is worth it.

A CableCARD is paired to an InfiniTV, not the PC.  So you won’t have any issues.

Also, depending on your FiOS region, FiOS may not pair at all.

I have a pair of those as well.  Sound quality wise they are very similar to the Thinksound, the mc5s even wins out slightly for accuracy but I none of the eartips were comfortable for me during extended usage.

For the price I think it is very hard to find comparable sound and that was at their original $75 price.

There are only 3 left at that price though.  If you do purchase, make sure to use our Amazon search 🙂
