Testing something…
mikinhoParticipant
The attached file shows what I am seeing. I am not using a widescreen monitor but I have about 3 inches of space being wasted on both sides. And I have to scroll down to get to my control panel. Can the page resize dynamically so the ads are right aligned in a frame and the posts left aligned and allowed to use the wasted space so the posts aren’t so compressed?
I’d also like to see an ads page so I could browse all the vendors and possibly remove ads from the right side all together. What would that cost me to have a profile with no ads?
The user control panel is being moved to the top. For the ads…I’ll let CEO respond.

I actually think there’s too much white; it hurts my eyes a bit.

It is being addressed
mikinhoParticipantI’ll see if I can make an old school theme available only to original site members 🙂
mikinhoParticipant
I’ve been crazy busy this week and haven’t really gotten to poke around the new site yet. I did want to echo the “new posts since last visit” link, that’s how I used the forums before as well.
Not sure why, but my sig is FREAKIN HUGE. I tried to clear formatting but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything. Guess I’ll just delete it and redo it.
Should be fixed now. Please let me know if it happens again.
The posts since last visit will be back soon. But in a drop down menu
mikinhoParticipantTestin image attach….
Thoughts on showing as an attachment versus inline image?
mikinhoParticipantThanks for the feedback guys, keep it coming. The unreadread on posts is high on the priority.

Can the Ceton be installed in a Server 2008 r2 machine? This would be ideal to then be able to share it with a Windows 7 machine running under Hyper-v. Add WHS also runnign under Hyper-v to hold all the recordings and watch using extenders and I would have the perfect machine.
That is my current setup.
I’ll be posting a quick overview of my setup and network equipment soon (requested early in this thread I believe)

I’m not a fan of the form factor myself, I’m a rack-mount guy.
That said I still think it makes some sense…I’ve always seen Boxee’s primary target audience as social media college students, the non-Apple high school crowd and fresh out of college.
Most consumers in that market won’t care about the form factor, it probably even goes well with the Urban Outfitter decor.
As much as I hate it, my high school daughter is into social media and I’m thinking of buying it for her (and stealing the remote for the primary HTPC)

I still like the blue but I like white as well.
I’m not a fan of green or orange.
