Hi guys, I just got home (almost 2am) from an unplanned trip to hospital (not me…minor car accident….bad luck). Going to sleep, it will be ready in the AM.

Still looks good for this evening. It is only a minor update for the new API but I will have a newer update soon with some of the other features I’ve been working on.  Thats when I’ll make open source.

Not much better. I’m still hacking up a lung. Just hoping it doesn’t get to pneumonia.

I get bronchitis twice a year here in Houston, don’t know why..sucks.

Do a hard drive diagnostics test. Sounds like your hard drive may be going.  If so, that is a relatively cheap fix assuming it is just your data drive.

For your SSD, what manufacturer?

I can’t +1 that enough times. The CPU of choice of HTPC has gotten a lot harder now that Intel got out of the consumer motherboard business (damn you) but regardless of AMD or Intel CPU always get an Intel network card.

The Media Center SDK has depreciated APIs for searching the guide based on title.  They have some restrictions but if you use some reasonable limits it should do the trick.  Download the Vista Media Center SDK to see the usage or refer to TVSchedule.FindProgram.  It is fairly limiting but if you are using the Rotten Tomatoe’s API for finding movies then you should be able to do a title only search.
