Is Yammm even supported anymore? From what I can tell, it has not been updated in 2 years. Does the last version even work anymore? The webpage for Yammm still shows the same info for the last 2 years. No updates at all about anything. If it’s not supported anymore, maybe put a note on the page saying so.

Don’t get me wrong, I loved Yammm, and Mike did a great job making the program. but if it’s not supported anymore, say so. Even if it’s not supported, thank you for the work you have done.

I uninstalled it months ago when it would no longer update my metadata. I just figured it was one of those programs that got lost in the void and was no longer supported. When I used it, it was the best.

A matte black case is important to me. I hate reflective surfaces that also show fingerprints.

A front Esata port would be nice.

But most of all, it has to be both quiet and cool!

No one has used it yet? That’s hard to believe.

Merry Christmas one and all. If Christmas is not your thing, then happy holidays to the rest of you!

Now if I could win that  QNAP NMP-1000P Media Player it would end the year on a good note.

Are you sure you’ve exhausted all options for running the cable inside the house?  Such as:  beneath carpeting, behind baseboards, around and behind door trim, through attic or basement…

I would have to agree. If you have access to your attic, run the cables up inside the walls then use speaker wire connection plates and attach the wires to the plates. That way you can always remove the speakers easily. Or you can mount in wall speakers. That is the cleanest approach. Baring that I would run the wires behind or along the baseboards then use some cable covers up the walls to the speakers. If you paint them to match the walls they become almost invisiable.

There is also some flat speaker wire that you might try. You can run it along the baseboards and it comes in white, but I do not know if it is paintable.

I would not suggest using cat 6 wires at all. Use either 16 or 18 guage speaker wire.
