Many thanks.

If you don’t have it set already, try the below registry key
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREDebugehPresenter.dll]
“NominalRange”=dword:1

Thanks Mike. Can you give me a quick description of what that registry entry does??
phoneguyinpghI remember that from my DOS days. It worked.
phoneguyinpghPP3=Power Pack 3 for WHSv1
phoneguyinpghThe way I have achieved the “Multi-Room-DVR” functionality you seem to be speaking of is; I record on what ever machine, then transfer the recording to the “Recorded-TV” shared directory on my WHSv1. I’m guessing you don’t have one, but if you do or are planning to build one, PP3 makes setting it up almost automatic.
phoneguyinpghThis may not be on track, but might they be turning on a no-copy flag on their HD broadcast??
phoneguyinpghAre you using any “Green” drives in your WHS? I read they can cause issues.
phoneguyinpghI built a new box last week to host my Ceton card, and an update alert popped up saying there were over 60 updates to install. it got thru 2 of them and then started failing. Deffinately some of the updates are conflicting. I got so frustrated I just turned off automatic updates. I hope an all-in-one SP1 update cures this as I hate not having my systems up-to-date.
phoneguyinpghI also assume you are using a static IP or atleast static DHCP in your router??
phoneguyinpghYep, it works. Thanks Mike.
phoneguyinpghThat’s too easy. No woner I couldn’t figure it out. I’ll try it when I get home. I’m still getting my systems all neat and tidy after getting my Ceton card paired and working yesterday. (I’m a happy geek )
phoneguyinpghWhat are considered acceptable temps??

WHS doesn’t allow remote access (via it’s web interface) to Windows 7 64 bit.

Major bummer.

With the RDP concurrent “patch” you can enable Remote Desktop on Home Premium but I do not know whether that works through WHS remote access.

RDP concurrent “patch”?? Please explain. If I can get away with Win7 Home that would be a big plus since I have a spare copy.
November 12, 2010 at 7:25 pm in reply to: Re: Guide: Sharing Ceton InfiniTV Tuners with Client HTPC System #2255Since WHS Vail and Server 2008 are so similar, can the Centon card be installed in a Vail box with out running a virtual anything, and create the bridge between the NIC and the Centon card so it can be shared on the LAN, with out disrupting any of Vail’s WHS functionality?
