As much as I would like one the WAF is a problem lol.  The room its set up in is real easy to fill with sound.  Right now I just have a Logitech 2.1 THX z-2300 I think if I can remember my model numbers correctly.  The room isnt huge so it doesnt require much to fill.  Next house next house I keep telling myself, dedicated HT room !

Only reason I chose the hauppage was because it had an FM tuner on it.

awesome, I’m looking at the 1tb seagate drives.

Oh and while I’m at it this weekend I’m going to do about a 100 foot coax cable run for the antenna to the attic.  Anything I should look out for cable wise?

Just an FYI to anyone that is a Internet only Time warner subscriber this is off TW’s website.  I was just reading through some of the postings on that blog and people are ANGRY! lol.  I think TW is just scared they are losing people to just internet services and streaming video.  So they are making you have the digital cable package to access ESPN3.  The silly thing is that ESPN3 is a online service for broadband users, not cable users.  Why would a cable user jump on ESPN 3 when they can flip the channel to any ESPN station or use their DVR to record a game…hmm
My guess down the road or soon they will be switching that any subscriber can access espn3.  For the meantime I’ll just use my parents comcast login lol

“Here’s the deal — Time Warner Cable is really, really excited to use the Internet to enhance the video packages that our customers buy from us. ESPN3 allows us to do just that. Because we see ESPN3 as an extension of our video product, we are making its available to all of our customers who subscribe to ESPN, instead of tying it to customers’ broadband subscriptions. ESPN360 will not be available to RoadRunner only customers.”

I agree with you autoboy, this box is going to appeal to a large number of people who dont want something complicated to set up.  All the techies and many of the apple fanboys ripped apart the Ipad but yet its selling like crazy?  A 100$ is a small fee to pay for an apple device so I can see the device selling well.  It seems they are trying to shoot for complimenting your TV not trying to take it over.
