      I finally got it to work…with little rhyme or reason. I went back and tried re-seating the card in all 4 PCI slots again and it worked this time (on the last slot). I don’t know why since the last time I tried it froze on all the PCI slots whenever I tried to enable “support bridging.” Regardless, thanks for the feedback and help. I’m trying to get my main htpc to sleep now and only wake when one of the other computers in the house requests to watch TV. We’ll see how that goes. By the way, I decided not to use the wireless adapter and go with Powerline adapters throughout the house so I could have WOL support. Hope this thread helps anyone who is having the same trouble.

          Hi Michael,

          So I forced the Promiscuous mode above for BOTH the wireless adapter and Ceton card. Still doesn’t work…These are the steps I followed:

          1. Manually changed the Ceton device from “Default IP Settings (DHCP Server)” and changed it to a Static IP.
          2. I then manually bridged the Ceton Card and Wireless router.
          3. Went through the steps above to force Promiscuous mode.
          4. Was then able to SUCCESSFULLY go through the entire network wizard mode. Finally! But…
          5. Afterwards, I set up my TV signal and no matter what channel I switched to on my TV I would get: “Service is unavailable…There is currently no TV signal detected for this channel. The channel maybe temporarily off the air. Try again later”

          I went through trying to fix this for about 2 hours and finally gave up. I was able to collect a Ceton diagnostics though. By the way, the Ceton diagnostics page reported everything as green. Even when I entered a TV channel to test in the box, it would complete successfully. The Ceton webpage also reported that tuner 1 was tuned.

          Also, the only step I skipped when manually setting up my bridge was going to the Ceton device and enabling “support bridging.” That immediately crashes my system before or after I set up the bridge still.

          Would including the diagnostics report here help?

            What exactly does Promiscuous mode do on the wireless adapter? I tried using a powerline adapter to connect my htpc to my router but that still hung when enabling bridging both manually and through the wizard. I also bought a 100 foot cable to directly attach the htpc to my router but same result. I’ll give the Promiscous mode a try when I get home and tell you the results.

            Any other suggestions you can think of from the top of your head? Btw, I figured you should be working for Ceton since you seem to know the software inside and out :).

              Hi Michael,

              I’ve gone through and updated all the drivers from the manufacturers and not from the OEM or Windows Update (had about 2-3 drivers that weren’t up to date). These drivers included the ethernet one and WiFi adapter that I’m using to get internet access (I know streaming things through wireless will be very poor).

              I tried running the steps that Ceton gave me and nothing worked. I then tried using your tool that you made a few years ago and doing everything manually but that didn’t work as well. Any other info I can provide that might help?

                Hi Michael,

                Since I’m not using the onboard NIC, does it matter if I don’t have the latest drivers for it? I’m using a wireless setup right now (which I understand will be terrible when streaming HD) Regardless, I took your advice and downloaded the latest drivers from the manufactures’ sites for most everything in my system. I’m not sure if it’ll do anything but I’ll get back to you later tonight on the outcome after I install them.

                  Hi Michael,

I’m using a wireless setup right now (which I understand will be terrible when streaming HD) Regardless, I took your advice and downloaded the latest drivers from the manufactures’ sites for the following (which was good advice btw since a lot of the drivers were out of date on the manufacturer’s site):

                  1. Intel Management Engine Driver

                  2. Intel SandyBridge Chipset driver

                  3. Renesas USB3.0 driver

                  4. Realtek PCI-E Ethernet Drivers

                  5. Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver

                  6. Intel SandyBridge VGA Driver

                  I’m not sure if it’ll do anything but I’ll get back to you later tonight on the outcome after I install them.

                    Not sure if anyone is following, but I thought I should include a list of what’s in my HTPC

                    CPU: Intel Core i3-2105 Sandy Bridge 3.1GHz LGA 1155 65W Dual-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 3000 BX80623I32105

                    MB: MSI Z68MA-ED55 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

                    Memory: Crucial 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Model BLT2KIT4G3D1337DT1TX0

                    I also figured I might as well document what Ceton is telling me to try:

                    We’ll need to manually bridge the InfiniTV card to your network card so we can regain access to it. Please follow these steps:

                    1. Open your Network and Sharing Center.
                    2. Click on Change Adapter Settings on the left panel.
                    3. You should see the Ceton InfiniTV card there, as well as the computer’s own networking card.
                    4. Select both at once (holding CTRL while clicking works well for this).
                    5. Right-click on them and choose Bridge Connections.

                    Once that’s done, try again resetting the network settings through the diagnostic tool. After that, you should be able to set things back up again. Please let us know if that works, else send in a fresh diagnostic.
                    Ceton Support”

                    I’ll try this out later tonight and update if it fails or goes through.
