lots of the streaming is in HD (for pretty much every device except the wii, which cant handle HD), unless you are talking 20+Mbps HD feeds which im sure is going to be a while.but at 6Mbps you can stream a heck of a lot of stuff before you hit comcast’s 250GB barrier.
Having never seen it, does anyone know how the quality compares to DirecTV’s HD signal?
At least with Comcast, you know what the barrier is. Most carriers (like my Cablevision) don’t tell you. Then, if you happen to work from home on any frequency and you suddenly get throttled, it makes for a very unproductive day.
The other issue (which I had forgotten about) is related to what Mikinho just said. We don’t have a PS3 or a Tivo, so our only option would be using a browser or also paying for Playon so that it could integrate with SageTV (preferred) via a plugin. Given that, I don’t see Netflix becoming a part of our monthly bills anytime soon.

Tim, you aren’t quite the last holdout… my family is. ;D Until this is streaming in HD, I don’t see Netflix as even being an option for us. I do applaud the option, though. I wonder how many households will wind up being throttled or shut down because of overage limits on their internet connection? Maybe we’ll see the ISPs start saying, “See?!?! We told you there has to be a premium cost for priority traffic by these “abusive” freeloaders! Now… about that net neutrality thing…”

ROFL!!!! ok, so full disclosure…i’m not exactly sure why i chose BttF over Aliens….i’m definitely a much bigger Alien fan (in case you couldn’t tell from my previous picks). Maybe i’m just trying to keep you all on your toes? 🙂
Your choice is understandable considering that the Alien Anthology is simply not complete without AVP.
I have to beg to differ. It’s the ALIEN anthology, not the Aliens and Predators anthology. Then again, that would mean we’d need all 3 Predator movies, assuming you take the “and” to include any movie which had either foe, rather than “or”, which would exclude the original Predator movie (and would make for a ridiculous set title: Aliens or Predators Anthology). 😉 Sadly, the less said about AvP, the better. I’ll concede that the 3rd and 4th Alien movies were–shall we say–lacking. But, nowhere near as bad as AvP.

God, I love that show. ;D
As a side note, I can’t believe I actually found a use for that quote so quickly!

In other words, we’re all attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis.

LOL! True enough. Plus, they mention that it takes up THREE slots. This is definitely for the hardcore gamer, however, they usually don’t care about noise or heat. :-X

That’s probably why I’m enjoying it, too. Although, the wife isn’t a fan of his and she’s still liking it. We’re also loving The Defenders. Jerry and Jim are hilarious.

I’m eyeing that card myself and plan to pick it up next month, so I can finally get some bitstreaming action going.
