UPDATED: New firmware enables multichannel PCM output on the HD300.http://www.geektonic.com/2010/09/sagetv-hd300-review-update-multi.html
You’re a little late. 😉 From the previous page…

A firmware update was released tonight that addresses the multi-channel PCM issue. Non Dobly/DTS multi-channel formats are output as multi-channel PCM now.
Does that one have the ESVP on it in CCC? The reason I ask is because I read that entire Anand article and made particular note of this:
Enthusiasts can turn it off and tweak things if they want to, but AMD looks to have done a solid job profiling their cards – if you try to outsmart ESVP, you’re probably going to be dropping frames in doing so.
I’ll definitely be keeping this in mind when I next upgrade my GPU.

That’s why I didn’t vote. I like photos, since I can quickly take another one. If I screw up a video, I need to start over. However, this is about the readers, not me. Actually, I’d put this on the front page to give it more visibility.

Hope it’s not all staff members who voted. 🙂

i saw the video….skirge….wow……maybe this is why you don’t like MOdern Family 😛
Man, that’s just wrong. 😉 If you spent as many years using the C64 and C128 as I did, you’d understand.

I wouldn’t have remembered that stuff had I not watched that video I linked to. BTW, if you didn’t watch it through to the end, you missed the funniest parts, as the guy gets ticked off at himself and the Commodore keyboard layout!

Did you happen to also see the original Death Wish? I read the Amazon review and even they mentioned the comparison. Reading both descriptions, it sounds very much like Death Wish, except that one had his wife murdered (beaten, then she dies of her injuries) and his daughter raped (a sequence which still haunts me to this day, even though it’s never shown). The city sounds more like a Robocop movie, however.
I would have definitely picked Evil Dead, but that’s the easy pick, so I can appreciate a different choice… unlike the Emmy’s/Oscars ever do. 😉

Btw Skirge….you seriously didn’t like MOdern Family?>???What do you guys think about Outsourced, which starts 9/23. I’ve seen the previews and it looks like it has potential. I’m a bit biased having worked with some outsource companies before, but still….i’m open to it.
When’s “The IT Crowd” coming to the states?!?!
Yeah, sorry, Mike. Both the wife and I had the same response to Modern Family… it just wasn’t funny. I cracked a smile here and there, but, overall… not my kind of humour.
I saw a preview for Outsourced and I didn’t think it was going to do too well. I was quite surprised that any American network was even willing to TRY that sort of humour, given the non-PC nature of it. While funny, I don’t know how it’s going to hold up over the long run. Plus, again, showing the general population how “stupid” they can be doesn’t usually go over very well. I really hope some of my end users don’t watch that show! LOL! Or, maybe it’ll turn out to be a good thing and they won’t open tickets for stupid things anymore. Nah… that’ll never happen. ;D
IT Crowd is on BBCA all the time. That’s where I’ve been watching it.
