LCD TVs to Take Lead by 2007

This is fantastic news. Hopefully with lower prices, there will be less awkward moments when you go over to your friend's house & have to see a huge 36" 200lb CRT tv….now you can console them & tell them they'll soon finally be able to afford something thinner. I say to your friend, forget them, your tv is big & beautiful.

This summer, research firm DisplaySearch predicted the CRT wouldn't be
displaced by LCD panels as top dog in the global television market until 2009. On a revenue basis, worldwide sales of LCDs overtook CRTs back in 2005.
