Quick Tip – Correcting Low Center Channel Dialog

About.com has a great tip on how to improve the sound of your dialog coming from your center speaker. If you do nothing to setup your recevier after unpacking it, this is the type of problem you can expect to have. I am sure more then one of our readers have heard their wives say, the music is too loud… I can't hear what she is saying.

Correcting Low Center Channel Using an AV Receiver

If you are using a fairly-recent model AV receiver for your sound, check your
setup menu and see if you have the ability to adjust the center channel output
level or adjust the center channel equalization. Also, often you can adjust all
the other channels as well. Many AV Receivers have a built-in test tone function
to assist in this task.
