Microsoft Extends Xbox 360 Warranty to One Year

I know a lot of people use the 360 as a Media Center Extender, so it has as much a right to be here as anyone 🙂 Anyhow, good news if you do own one, as Microsoft has extended the warranty from the pathetic 90 days, to the 1-year flavor. Kudos to them (sure it took a lawsuit to encourage them, but they did it in the end)

Moreover, the new warranty policy is retroactive, so if you already
paid for an out-of-warranty Xbox 360 repair within one year of
purchase, you will be eligible for reimbursement of you console repair
charges.  Looks like refund checks will begin going out in the next 10
weeks.  Reimbursements will be automatically distributed, so you don't
need to contact Microsoft.
