Audiovox to Acquire Thomson, RCA Brand

Big news in the CE world today, Audiovox will be acquiring Thomson and RCA. There are quite a few well known brand names included in the purchase including Jensen, Acoustic Research and a few others.

In addition to the RCA brand, the acquisition includes the Recoton,
Spikemaster, Ambico, Discwasher, Jensen, Advent, Acoustic Research and Road Gear
product lines.

consumer electronics accessories and gives us greater flexibility at the
distribution level," says Patrick Lavelle, president and CEO of Audiovox
