DIRECTV Must Pull HDTV Ads
Whooops. it looks like DirectTV's somewhat questionable claims of better HDTV got them in hot water as of late. More specifically, Time Warner sued their asses and as a result they have to take down their HDTV claims until the lawsuit is settled! Matt weighed on the subject a couple of months ago and you can see his thoughts here.
I am sure their objective ways of settling this like bit rate measurements and blind tests.
From the article:
The commercials, which star Jessica Simpson and William
Shatner, sparked a lawsuit by Time Warner Cable which
charged that DIRECTV made a false claim by saying its HD
picture and service was superior to cable.
DIRECTV must stop airing the ads until the lawsuit's
proceedings are finished, ruled U.S. District Judge
Laura Taylor Swain.
