CableCARD Set-Tops Shipping

Good to see this time slowly coming, if still it's with Cable Lab's monopoly on the technology. Hopefully the wider distribution & usage of cable cards will increase awareness to the point where we actually have competition in the market…or at least a better product. 

Connected Home 2 Go

 Motorola started commercial shipments of CableCARD set-tops this month and will hit full production speed in May and June. The first units out the door are the HD DVR set-tops. Lower-end set-tops were on the back burner both because they are easier to develop and because the possibility of a waiver from the FCC appeared open until recently.
