Price drops lift HD DVD player sales

HD DVD is bound and determined not to lose to Blu-ray. It is hard to argue with $300 price points to pick up adoption. Why stop there? Over the weekend they had an additional $50 dollars of to lower the price to within $10 of Oppo's famed up-converting player. By no means is this battle over, I am sure we can expect a price drop in the Blu-ray camp before long.
