HTPC Tip Of The Day: Playing ROMs

If you happen to have a collection of ROMs that you are itching to play on your spiffy new Media Center PC, there are a couple of solutions available to you in VMC and one availble in Sage.
First up is EMUCenter.
It is a bit fiddly to setup but works quite well and is programmed with MCML. A big plus is that it is free.
Secon up is GameEx
I have not used GameEx for a while. It was originally designed as a ROM front-end that was loosely integrated with MCE 2K5. It eventually moved to a fully featured front-end that can be used with out VMC. However, it can still be used as a ROM only catalog with VMC or MCE 2K5.

If you are a SageTV user, you can use this script to create ROM menu items.
