VMCBrowser… the world on your TV

MCEBrowser was a plugin designed to be used with your remote and felt a bit limiting. As such, it was only a matter of time before someone designed a browser that can integrate into VMC and use a keyboard and mouse. It acts a lot like IE but has a couple of limitations like no cookies.

Inbuilt track ball keyboards, or keyboards with a touchpad are the best option – but a regular keyboard and mouse will work just as well. To make the browsing more natural, this plug-in doesn’t utilise the Microsoft Remote, but future versions may include added functionality. This is the first version, so it is very basic. It’s free to download, and also free to be modified in any way. The code is very simple – so if you know a bit about web design, have a go at modding it!
