Hulu eyeing UK, France, Germany, Japan – exec

Hulu, the website that everyone loves but not enough to make HTPC plugins for, has its eyes set on overseas markets. Given its success and buzz, it is not surprising to see Hulu expand in alternative market. It makes me wonder how well it will do with libraries that are not owned by the parent companies.

Peter Smith, President of NBC Universal International, told a European Media Leaders Summit that his firm would love to roll out the online video joint venture further but that there were no concrete plans to announce yet. He said they were interested in Britain, France, Germany and Japan because online video was already popular and growing strongly in those countries
