HDD Upgrade Time: Acard ANS-9010 vs Gigabyte I-RAM vs SSD
This isn’t really directly related to HTPCs but I thought that it was a very interesting comparison. I think it’s worth a look.
The only question is whether or not one can justify the purchase of
what can only be described as a very expensive and relatively small
hard disk drive. On one hand, both iRam and ANS-9010 are extremely fast
and perfectly suited for those who really need to have applications and
documents opened very quickly or at least faster than regular disk
drives. But on the other hand … it’s a very expensive setup,
certainly when you look at the capacity offered by these types of disk
drives.
